The 100th anniversary of Finland’s independence will be celebrated in Curaçao with a seminar dedicated to sustainable solutions and applications. Finland's Honorary Consul in Curaçao, Mrs. Helga Mensing, is hosting an event in co-operation with the Embassy of Finland to the Netherlands, as well as the Ministry of Public Health, Environment and Nature in Curaçao. Moreover, several companies and a Finnish NGO have agreed to give presentations either in person or through videoconference. Finland’s roving Ambassador for the Caribbean, Mr Jukka Pietikäinen, will give a speech, as well as the Minister of Public Health, Environment and Nature of Curaçao, Mrs. Suzanne Camelia-Römer.
The seminar is invitation only and will take place at the University of Curaçao on 20 November, 2017. The event will be followed up by a report on the Embassy's homepage introducing the seminar's harvest together with the opportunities of Curaçao for Finnish actors.
